Hag stones are naturally occuring holed stones that are traditionally hung for protection from or enhancement of magic. Since ancient times they have been considered sacred, and go by many names (Eye Stones, Snake Eggs, Fairy Stones, Holy Stones, Adder Stones, Witch Stones, Hex Stones). This particular pair was once whole, and is now a split pair, each with their own holes.
